Commercial Propane

UGI Energy Services, LLC owns and operates six Propane Air Plants and provides it to UGI EnergyLink for our commercial propane customers. Our Propane supply is used to serve our wholesale propane customers and to provide peaking services through the production of propane air. Propane air production is the process of blending a mixture of propane and air into a natural gas distribution system to support peak day demand.

This service allows energy marketers to add economical, off-pipeline supply to their energy portfolios, reducing the need to carry costly pipeline capacity all year long, and protecting them from reduced pipeline pressure and natural gas interruptions.

All six of our plants offer additional storage capacity and two of our plants offer wholesale rail terminal services. UGIES offers through-putting services at our rail terminal facilities, creating a viable alternative for wholesale propane customers with limited storage.

Fuel Oil Supply and Delivery

Another service offered by UGIES is supply sales and delivery of a variety of fuel oil products, ranging from Off-Road Diesel to Ultra Low Sulphur Heating Oil. This service is available to existing and potential customers requiring fuel oil products but is also a service we can offer to our interruptible natural gas customers who find themselves without gas on some of the coldest days of the year.
